Eden is a land in Final Fantasy XIV that can only be accessed through the game’s main story. It is home to the Astrals, beings of great power and influence. The player will explore this place with their companions over the course of their journey.
Eden is a city in Final Fantasy XIV. The city has been described as the most beautiful of all cities, and it’s said that many people have fallen in love with it.
Eden is a Final Fantasy XIV level 80 raid. It’s also the name of the enigmatic creature behind some of the events that wreaked havoc on the world in the Shadowbringers expansion.
Eden isn’t precisely a location or a person. It’s a living thing.
And the raid that revolves around it takes you on a wild ride.
To grasp Eden’s significance in the Final Fantasy chronology, we must first examine several key lore elements.
So, if you’d rather figure things out for yourself, or if you don’t want spoilers, proceed with caution.
The Sin Eaters — corrupted former humans who live solely to feed on the living – are a seemingly unending force in the Shadowbringers expansion.
Pieces of history begin to fall into place as we destroy Sin Eaters and the powerful Lightwardens they flock to.
Where Did Eden Originate? (Spoilers for Shadowbringers!)
Ardbert (our broody counterpart from the First) vanquished a couple of Ascians who were attempting to bring disaster to their planet a long time ago.
Despite their seeming triumph, Mitron, an Ascian, would change into the first Sin Eater, a powerful creature called “Eden” by Ryne.
It was all part of the Ascians’ strategy (somehow).
Minfilia eventually ceased begging us to return to The Waking Sands and really did something when Eden started to fill the First with light.
Minfilia sacrificed herself, along with the Warriors of Darkness, to prevent the Flood of Light from destroying the earth.
Eden, on the other hand, remained.
Minfilia’s sacrifice put it to sleep, and Mitron’s consciousness was trapped within.
For a hundred years, the creature would lie dormant, until the new Warrior of Darkness (that’s us!) puts a stop to the Ascian plan and restores darkness to the First.
In the Empty, Ryne (Minfilia’s successor) notices a huge source of light. The Empty is a hazardous wasteland devoid of magical aether for the most part.
They eventually put together an expedition and invite the Warrior of Darkness to investigate the disturbance.
Eden is half-buried in the wastelands when they find it.
As a result of one event leading to another, we’re once again rescuing the planet (yawn).
I’m not going to give anything away about the raid’s real narrative material since it’s all interesting and worth finding out for yourself.

How can I go into Eden?
Fortunately, unlocking Eden is a lot simpler than finishing the game.
You must be level 80 and have completed the Shadowbringers Main Scenario Quests to participate (not including any post patch content).
Go to the Crystarium and talk to an Anxious Crystarium Guard if you already meet both of these criteria.
You’ll have to complete two easy missions from here: “In the Middle of Nowhere” and “Deploy the Core.”
After you’ve completed them, you’ll be allowed to access the first level of Eden.
As you accomplish the raid’s many tasks, more will become available.
So, if you’ve been exploring Eorzea extensively up to this point, the procedure is much the same as unlocking every raid before it.
Eden is a normal raid, thus a group of eight is required to participate.
If you don’t have a static or Free Company to complete it with, you may always queue for it via the Duty Finder.
Is Eden a Difficult Place to Visit?
It is, after all, end-game content. So it’ll undoubtedly be more tough than clearing the Crystal Tower, which you’ll be compelled to do early on.
On normal level, though, it shouldn’t be too tough for those who can study up on battle mechanics and role requirements.
Your party’s experience will also have a significant impact on the difficulty.
When you join via Duty Finder, you always face the danger of being paired with a bunch of individuals who have no idea what they’re doing.
That’s not to say it’s a bad thing; it’s simply not the ideal method to understand the raid’s mechanics and advance.
Moving up the difficulty levels is a different story, and clearing them will need a lot more experience and equipment.
Make sure you have your rotation down pat if you’re doing it all for the first time.
Prioritize the fundamentals, such as watching/reading up on the battles and communicating with your party.
